Well, at least they admit it…
So… Apparently people in Texas only know about one vegetable (that isn’t fried), jalapenos. I think every meal has been either fast food or partially fried. I feel as though I have gained 100 pounds. I asked the local guy if we could eat something a little more “healthful”, he said, “buddy this is Texas, you seen any skinny people here?”
No, sir, I have not. I am looking forward to going back to New England, I think I’ll have a salad.

Houston…
Ah… Texas in August, what the heck! It is hot and humid here and we’re working some looong hours.
My trip started with a number of changes to my flight arrangements, including changing my flight from 4 PM to 11 AM AND never telling me. Fortunately I checked my reservations a couple of days before. When I got to the airport they moved me to another flight through Atlanta instead of Minnesota. This made me get in later than I would have, so we got caught up in the middle of a HUGE thunderstorm. Ended up landing at the Houston Hobby airport. This wasn’t too bad except that we couldn’t leave the airplane, because they didn’t have the facility to take our aircraft type. Multiple protests got the few of us that really wanted to leave a ride in the station managers personal car to the terminal. This was great, except I had to wear the same clothes to work the next day.
The weekend went pretty alright, we worked 12 hours on Saturday and 17 hours yesterday. We’re all pretty dead on our feet today.
Picture below is from the air freshener in the men’s bathroom.
Seriously? We now have “safety” stickers on air freshener? and this one even has an option for how well it will work as personal protection… sheesh.
Back to work with me.

NWTA…
weeeell…
I’m not making very good progress on my “keeping up with posting” commitment, but it’s still on my mind.
A few weeks ago I participated in the NWTA weekend put on by the ManKind Project (MKP), this was put on by the MKPNE group. This weekend was the most physically, emotionally, and spiritually challenging time I have ever had in my life. I am proud and honored to be associated with this group and every man that I have met during my involvement thus far.
The time since my weekend has been spent working on evaluating and implementing some of the ideas that I learned, it has been a challenge, but very rewarding.
I hope all is well with you, my reader.

New Hampshire…
well it looks like I have at least three readers still, so that is wicked cool!
I’m working in New Hampshire this week, I’m done today though. So that’s cool, I can work my other job tomorrow night, that’s fun.
If you want to know what that is about, send me an email.
This is where I was working, the landscaping was really cool.
That’s about it for me for today.

The story we find ourselves in…
Well, it has been far too long since I last posted to this darn thing. So I’ve reached a decision point, kill it or post to it more frequently. Considering I’m relatively certain that there is only one person who still reads this (Hi Putz) and that person is pretty awesome. I’m going to continue to post.
For reasons of security I won’t be sharing much here about my second job. It can be a little touchy with security and all, so, with that being said… on with life.
Things are pretty hectic here, as mentioned before, my work is still very busy. All of this economic downturn stff hasn’t hit me as hard as it has some of my co-workers. I am still very, very busy, so that’s good news for me.
My second job is also very busy, but that is the nature of it, summers are busy, winter not as much. I enjoy and we’ll leave it at that.
My good buddy Putz and his wife were here a couple of weeks ago, that was cool. Although I was so busy I didn’t really get to hang with them, but we did get to enjoy breakfast together just before I jetted to Chicago, so that was very nice and exciting for me.
Outside of that, not much lately. I’ll check in with more soon.

An historic day…
I lend my congratulations to our new President, Vice-President and all of the people of the United States and the world. I believe that President Obama will be a voice for change in our United States.
May God bless the United States of America.

It’s been a while (again)…
Well here we are, almost 2 months later, I’m sorry to all of my readers (and one disgruntled visitor).
A lot has happened in the past two months, I’ve been travelling a bit and I’ve been to police academy and I’ve been working a lot. so I’m pretty tired, but I’ll try to get another post up soon.
